The Estate lies in the Usk Valley and extends above the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal into the Brecon Beacons National Park.  The land varies from Usk alluvial plains to uplands and thus supports a diverse range of farming activities. You will see arable, dairy, beef and sheep enterprises, some of which are organic. We encourage farm practices which promote conservation and good soil management.

The Estate has one of the oldest flocks of Black Welsh Mountain sheep which dates back to c1840 when Lady Llanover brought stock. The original bloodlines have been kept over the years with flock being entirely closed for breeding females. Prize winning rams have been carefully selected to improve the flock over recently years with the most recent acquisition being Ffrdd Taran, Breed Winner at the Anglesey Show 2017. Breeding stock is occasionally available for sale.
